Eyediology have a great selection of glasses to choose from. I had really struggled to find glasses that I liked at other opticians, but Mainika quickly found me multiple pairs in the sort of style I was looking for and gave really good feedback on which ones suited me best. This optician is excellent in every way. I bought some glasses from here over a decade ago, after the most thorough eye test I've had in London using high-end equipment. Much later, when the hinge on the mykita glasses became loose, the staff at the shop were able to tighten it up using specialist tools without having to send it back to Mykita for repair. I would thoroughly recommend the friendly and professional staff and their excellent after-care and follow up support.

For c. 25 years, I used a prestigious opticians Practice based in London's West End. However, coincident with my needs becoming more specific and demanding, I gradually became dissatisfied with them. So, 3 months ago I decided to change and searched online for a new provider with the following: (i) Location - Central London (ii) Excellent online reviews (iii) High quality & fashionable eyewear brands (iv) A re-glazing service for Lindberg frames (v) Had a suitably qualified and experienced professional team which was reflected in the overall presentation of their website and more importantly in the detailed contents of their web pages. Specific Outcomes: 1. I selected Eyediology Opticians (EO). In addition to satisfying my screening criteria, what attracted me to EO was the fact that they supplied Nikon lenses - although not relevant to my needs, that fact was to me an indicator of a Practice that prioritised a relatively high quality in its provision. 2. The eye examination session lasted for c. 60 minutes. Interestingly and as it turned out also helpfully, in addition to its technical aspects, the session was conducted in a consultative style in which my specific needs, habits and preferences were explicitly taken into account. A latent deficiency in my eyesight, which in previous examinations by others had not been identified, was discovered. 3. The lenses prescriptions produced were duly translated into my requirements for two pairs of re-glazed rimless glasses (using the Lindberg frames which I supplied from my previous pairs). The dispensing optician took great care in ensuring that (i) the new glasses would meet my strong preference for being as lightweight as possible (within the constraint of the strengths of the lenses which had been prescribed) (ii) the sizes of the glasses would meet my specific requirements for overall sizes (iii) the shape of the relatively large-sized lenses for the intermediate distance pair (which I use/d for piano playing) would be aspherical (so that the distortions to peripheral vision from the previous spherical shaped lenses would not occur) (iv) the dividing lines between the near & distance vision on the bifocal lenses pair of glasses were better positioned than they had been previously. Overall outcome: This occurred on my second visit (the purpose of which was for fitting and collection of the two new pairs of glasses). My immediate response to trying on the new pairs of glasses was a spontaneous improvement in my sense of well-being - a mixture of relief and exhilaration. Now, one week later I continue to feel completely 'at one' with my new glasses. Conclusion: I recommend Eyediology Opticians to everyone seeking the best quality eyecare service provider. 11/10. The knowledge, care and attention is second to none. Ravi and Mainika make you feel like family. The eyewear consultation and range of glasses were fantastic. If you’re in E1 and looking for a new pair glasses or just need some advise then would highly recommend that you come visit.

A screw on my glasses came loose and a lens dropped out, minutes before I had to board my train from Glasgow to London. Luckily Google maps pointed me to Eyediology Opticians, who saved the day by carrying out a repair. I was looked after with care, empathy and good humour. They refused payment too which was very generous. The business was holding a special promotion for sunglasses when I was there, so please go and have a look and a consultation. Independent businesses deserve support particularly those with a kind heart and a willingness to assist a traveller in distress!
