Ambassador Referral Programme
Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Ambassador Referral Programme (“the Programme”), operated by Blackheath Eyecare and Eyediology Styling Opticians (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By joining the Programme, you (“the Ambassador”) agree to these terms and conditions.

1. Who Can Take Part?

  • The Programme is open to individuals aged 18 or over.
  • Referral credits are only awarded for new clients—someone who hasn’t attended either practice in the last 5 years (see Glossary).
  • Referrals of your own children under 18 are not eligible for credits.

2. Relatives and Eligible Referrals

  • Ambassadors may refer anyone, including spouses, parents, siblings, friends, adult children, and people in the same household.
  • The only restriction: you cannot earn credits for referring your own children under 18, as these appointments are not considered genuine referrals (see Glossary).
  • All participants in the Programme must be aged 18 or over.

3. Staff Referrals

  • Staff members may participate in the Programme and refer clients, provided the referred client pays full retail price for all products and services.
  • No staff, management, or goodwill discounts/concessions may be applied to the transaction for the referral to qualify.
  • Staff referrals are otherwise treated the same as any other eligible referral.

4. How to Earn Credits

  • Share your unique referral code with friends, family, colleagues, or other eligible individuals.
  • You’ll receive:
  • £5 credit for each Referral who attends and pays for a full eye examination (excluding those seen within the last 5 years).
  • £25 credit per pair for each Referral who purchases any glasses frames or a complete pair (frames and lenses, or frames only) in one transaction.
  • £5 credit if a Referral chooses reglaze lenses only and also completes an eye exam.
  • Credits are only awarded for completed, fully paid transactions. Deposits, part-payments, or refunded purchases don’t qualify.
  • If two Ambassadors refer the same person, only the first referral used to book the appointment will qualify for credits.
  • Self-referrals are not permitted.

5. Multiple Referrals from the Same Household

  • Multiple individuals from the same household may be referred, provided each meets the eligibility criteria as a new client.
  • Each eligible referral is treated individually.

6. Credit Expiry and Responsibility

  • Credits remain valid as long as you refer at least one new client every 24 months.
  • If you don’t refer anyone in a 24-month period, any unused credits will automatically expire.
  • Ambassadors are responsible for keeping track of and using their own credits before expiry. We do not send reminders about unused credits.
  • Credits cannot be backdated or reinstated if not claimed before expiry, regardless of notification status.

7. Tracking and Redeeming Credits

  • Ambassadors will receive a notification by email or text when a successful referral qualifies for credits.
  • To check your current credit balance, contact the practice by phone, email, or in person.
  • Credits can be redeemed against any products or services at Blackheath Eyecare or Eyediology Styling Opticians.
  • Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and can’t be exchanged for cash or alternatives.
  • There’s no limit to how many credits you can earn.

8. Privacy

  • Personal information will be processed in line with our privacy policies:

  • Your information is used only to run the Programme and communicate about your participation and rewards.
  • We don’t share your data with third parties, except as legally required or for Programme administration.
  • Please keep your contact details up to date to ensure you receive notifications.

9. Changes to Referral Codes

  • We reserve the right to issue new referral codes or update the referral system at any time.
  • If your code changes, we will notify you using your most recent contact details.

10. Corporate or Group Referrals

  • Credits are applied to the individual whose ambassador code is presented at the time of booking or purchase.
  • If a company or organisation refers multiple people, credits are only applied to the code used by each new client.

  • We may amend, suspend, or withdraw the Programme at any time, without notice.
  • Misuse of the Programme (including fraudulent referrals) may result in removal and loss of credits.
  • By taking part, you consent to your data being used for Programme administration as per our privacy policies.
  • Credits are subject to the terms in place at the time of redemption.
  • We reserve the right to interpret or clarify these rules in unforeseen circumstances.

13. Glossary of Terms

  • Reglaze: Fitting new lenses into a client’s existing glasses frames.
  • New Client: A person who has never visited either practice, or who hasn’t attended for at least 5 years.
  • Referral: An individual introduced to the practice by an Ambassador, who meets the eligibility criteria.

A: Yes! You can refer any adult (over 18) who hasn’t attended either practice in the last 5 years.
