Helping others to see…
With the ready access to good eye health care and eyewear, your sight can often be taken for granted. As such Eyediology Opticians are working with the charity Vision Aid Overseas to provide free glasses to be used in developing countries. This enables doctors and optometrists working in these countries to be able to correct some of the vision problems that they encounter.
Did you know…
- 670 million people around the world are unnecessarily visually impaired because they do not have glasses. This is 10% of the world’s population.
- Children miss out on opportunities to get an education because they are excluded from schools. It is estimated that 13 million children are visually impaired because they do not have glasses.
- Mothers and fathers often have to stop working because they can not see well enough to read and write or to continue a skilled trade. This can have a devastating impact on their own livelihood and the well being of their families and children.
- For many elderly people loss of sight can mean a loss of dignity and in many cases people are
needlessly blind without glasses.

We would like to thank all our patients that have donated their old frames and we hope that your generosity continues. Together we can make a small difference in this world of indifference.
If you would like to donate your old frames please send them to us at Eyediology Opticians.
